Greetings all.....This past weekend I attended an audition for an upcoming Golf Channel reality show called the Inventors Forum. It will be a new series that will uncover the next great golf invention. Well, I think that Swing Reminders is the next great golf invention, so we will see what the rest of the golf world thinks about that.
I thought the audition went very well. I had three minutes to explain to a Golf Channel producer what Swing Reminders is and how it can help golfers. They asked a few questions and I was outa there. They will notify me at a later date if I get to move on to the next level.
I guess I should explain to you what Swing Reminders is all about, huh?
I think all golfers are looking for that one thing to help them improve their games. I’m not sure that one thing will ever be found, because all golfers are different. Here is what worked for me and I hope it will work for you.
For years I carried a small piece of paper in my right pocket when playing golf. I would write a swing thought or two on the paper. Something just to keep me thinking about simple swing thoughts, instead of letting my head go nuts and think about too many things. Every time I would reach in my pocket to get a tee or a ball marker, I would feel the paper and pull it out to give me another little reminder. In golf, we know the more we think the worse we play. It is a game and should be just like any other game we play, instinctive. When I teach golf, I always talk to students about not thinking, just reacting. I often use the analogy of playing shortstop in baseball. If the ball comes to you, you don’t have to think what to do with it; you just scoop it up and throw it to first base. Golf should be the same, it is muscle memory just like any other sport right? So, just swing the club. But, we all know that is easier said than done, so the Swing Reminders idea came to me.
I woke up on November 19. 2006 at 3:30 A.M.and all I could think about was swing reminders. I went to my desk and started to write down ideas. In a few minutes I had the basic idea of the round wooden tokens, then a list of about 20 reminders. I tried to go back to bed, but my mind just kept thinking of new ideas. So, I went back to the computer and started to write more things down. About 7:30 am, I sent my brother Chris an e-mail with the idea and it has just blown up from there. I sent in a provisional patent on November 28, 2006. My brother fired up his laser cutter and cut the first set of demo swing reminders. Since then, I have thought of a lot more reminders.
He cut the first full set of 60 reminders last week and I took them to Dallas for the Golf Channel audition. People I talked to at the show were very interested in the idea. I think it is going to be HUGE.

Swing Reminders Golf Is Launched
My name is Scott Jessee and I have created a new golf product called Swing Reminders. It's a pretty simple product, that will help golfers at every level to play better golf.
One of the hardest things to do when playing golf is to stay focused on any single thought during the round. With a Swing Reminder in your possesion you will be able to always focus on that one swing thought.
This weekend I will be traveling to Dallas to participate in the Golf Channel's Inventors Forum. This is the perfect event to help launch Swing Reminders.
There will be more on Swing Reminders in the near future......
